Coding for a diagnostic mammogram includes all views done on the same day

If performing a diagnostic mammogram and breast ultrasound, followed by a biopsy with a post marker mammogram, can we code the post-marker mammogram? I don’t think both mammograms are billable.

You are correct because the diagnostic mammogram code includes any and all views done on the same day; you can’t assign a second diagnostic CPT code for the post-procedure imaging.
